A Study in Solitude

Nel bosco di Winterthur, centinaia di alberi esplosi durante una tempesta sembrano ancora vivere, connessi da radici che scambiano linfa e resistenza. Poco lontano, nella casa museo Oskar Reinhart, una scultura di Maillol — il ventre ferito dal tempo — guarda verso il bosco, come in dialogo silenzioso con quegli alberi abbattuti. In questo intreccio tra natura e arte, morte e trasformazione, lo sguardo della bagnante restituisce una quieta sopravvivenza. 

In the forest of Winterthur, hundreds of trees exploded during a storm seem to live on, connected by roots that share life and endurance. Nearby, in the Oskar Reinhart Museum, a sculpture by Maillol — her belly marked by time — gazes toward the woods, as if in silent dialogue with the fallen trees. In this interplay of nature and art, death and transformation, the bather’s gaze offers a quiet sense of survival.
