This 2006 work by Chiaralice Rizzi is a video reflecting on drawing as an experience of gaze and time. It is not the rose that is depicted, but the act of looking at it, the attempt to hold onto an unrepeatable encounter with reality. The moving image filming the drawing captures this experience in its luminous obliquity, transforming it into a temporal response, into becoming. The video thus becomes a meditation on seeing, on fragility, and on the duration of the gesture.
